March 1, 2012Great info James !
Your audio sounds good, which mic are you using and are you using some sort of compression or enhancement ?
James
March 1, 2012Hi Keith, thanks for the comment.
I use this mic: http://www.samsontech.com/samson/products/microphones/usb-microphones/c01u/
Yes! I use a compressor, noise gate, then I normalize the audio. 🙂

March 1, 2012Hey James..
Thanks for this video. I was going to write to you and ask you if you were willing to share this info.
Here’s what I’d like to see:
– How you setup your funnels for DYL.com and 5fsm.com (behind the scenes stuff like stats, different tweaks you did to increase conversions etc.)
– Maybe a step by step process of how you made those particular videos.
– Picking the sound effects and background music and making them match the slides so well.
– More about the “Advanced” audio editing you mentioned.
The membership area sounds like a good idea…count me in.
Your videos KICK ASS!
Thanks!

April 4, 2012Awesome video, thanks for the information James.
What I stumble on is the script writing. Is there a formula you use to get your message across so well?
Thanks for all you do, you are one of my favorite internet marketers!
James
April 7, 2012Hey Joe,
Thanks for the kind words man. It means a lot.
Yes, there is a formula for writing the script. I was taught the HPP formula by Andy Jenkins (Hook, Path, Persuasion.)
You want to start out by explaining what they are going to learn in the video.
Example: “In this video you will discover…” (How I increased my likes by 218%)
The path is where you would provide proof using real stories. And the persuasion part is where you make an offer for them to buy your stuff.
Watch my DYL video a few times and you’ll see how I do it. But the trick is to write in a conversational tone as if you were sitting there with one person.
The truth is it takes me forever to write the script. I generally write a rough draft and let it sit for a day and then come back to it and tweak it and add more. It’s a process.
I just finished the new video for DYL here:

Let me know what you think!

April 25, 2012Hi James,
I come across a lot of sites but very few capture my attention so quickly. When I do find these sites I try to analyze what about the content or presentation is calling to me so I can learn and implement in my own business.
Immediately it was obvious to me that you have worked hard on perfecting the video presentation, congrats it’s awesome.
I’d be very interested in a membership site that teaches these concepts…keep me posted!
In the meanwhile, I’m kind of new to powerpoint and camtasia. How would I give my slides the animated effects that your videos have? or is it in a completely different program that you add that?
Thanks for the video, looking forward to seeing more from you!
btw…how I found you: I clicked on a Facebook Ad, the one with the hot chick and the thumbs up. (info I’d like to know if it were me…so there’s some feedback for you)

June 5, 2012James, great video, clearly and simply explains everything – thank you.
Will, the animations as far as I can tell are all ‘straight out of the box’ from keynote (which in my limited experience is much better than power point).
Cheers,
Liam
James Grandstaff
June 7, 2012Yes, animations are straight from Keynote. 🙂

July 2, 2012James,
I’ve seen your videos have a magnetic effect on viewers.. including me. Your overview of your video workflow is great, and I’d definitely pay for a membership area or a mini course that you put together on the nitty gritty of how you make your great videos.
Thanks again.

August 1, 2012Video making video is tops. Will think about what else could be useful but you have nailed the key parts of video making for me for now. It is simple and clear.

Thanks

June 21, 2013Hi James,
Got the PDF off your first email but your video is great as well.
Regards, Laurie
P.S. The Video VIP Membership sounds like a great idea and the short sharp bite size would be good as well.
Getting sick of all the videos and webinars that run up to and even over an hour.

June 21, 2013Wow James …
You’re so ‘awesome’!!! I appreciate your taking the time to make this for us!!
I would so love it if you’d make that ‘Member Training’ site. I, especially, appreciate that you’ve provided ‘FREE’ training (as I am currently unemployed & still setting up my Virtual Biz … not ready to launch yet!).
Thank you so very much!!

February 20, 2015Good video, James.
I would like to see the “script formula” or “script template” you use to write your video scripts.
Your scripts are some of the most “pleasing to the ear” presentations I’ve ever heard.
Effective too… since they convinced me to purchase several of your products.
Thanks,
Larry T.

February 21, 2015Hey Larry, thanks for the feedback. Glad you liked the video. I’ll tell you more about my formula when we speak next week. 🙂
